The day began with a soulful prayer and the lighting of the Kuthuvilakku, igniting hope and promise. Inspiring words honored nurses as “angels without wings” and showcased endless opportunities with world-class facilities. Students took their first steps into a bright future with their inaugural punch-ins, as the event closed with gratitude, pride, and a celebratory lunch.

After 124 long years, we are India’s 1st Hotel Management Institute to win 10 medals and make history at this global event. The winners were Sreya Aneesh (1 Gold & 2 Silver), Jagan Saravana (1 Gold & 1 Silver), Ankith Kantharaju (2 Silver), Puneeth Jogappa (1 Gold & 1 Silver), and Akash George (1 Bronze).
In a grand event at the Hyatt Regency, Chennai, Vice Chancellor of Alagappa University, Prof. G. Ravi, celebrated the achievements of Chennais Amirta’s culinary stars, Sreya Aneesh and Amritha P. Sadan, for winning 2 gold medals at EXPO CULINAIRE – 27th Edition. Their victories across the IKA/Culinary Olympics in Germany, the Emirates Salon Culinaire in the UAE, and the Malaysia Battle of the Chefs were praised.
